I wish I’d known about this sooner, I would have donated. An effort to get Linux in the public eye ended with a trip into the turn one wall at Indy. The driver of the Linux-sponsored, Chastain Motorsports #77, Roberto Moreno, is OK.
With less than one quarter of the race in the books, Roberto Moreno, Driver for Chastain Motorsports and Team Linux, smashed into the wall in turn one.
I could hear the groans world-wide.
I was one of them.
Roberto was taken to Methodist hospital for observation after complaining about back pain. I can relate. I complain about it every morning.
The results of media exposure for Linux is yet to be determined. I will say this, I watched the whole race and not once noticed the penguin on the car or that it was sponsored by Linux and I’m a geek. I don’t think non-geeks would have noticed either.
I hope they try it again next year and get more publicity. For more info, visit http://www.tux500.com

Thanks for the great book, Jay!
In this episode I interview Chris and Kathy Vander Kaay of The Studio Upstairs Podcast.

Big-O from TechnoFodder reviewed the smashing promo that Bryan Bridges created for me. It was a fair review and I’ll work with Bryan to fix it. Thanks for the plug, Big-O. By the way, I will be back from hiatus this week which is why I had my promo reviewed.
