Today I cover some recent news. I’m going to start providing links via Delicious (Yahoo! is changing the URL, BTW) so let me know what you think about that. Also, if you want me to comment on any news and you have a del.icio.us account, tag it with 4jesusgeek and I’ll comment on it if it’s appropriate for the podcast.

One of the things you’ll be faced with when producing your first podcast is whether or not you want to go it alone or get some help. There is a lot to learn about podcasting and trying to stuff a ton of information into your head and have it come out in the right order can be difficult.
Doing things on your own is commendable but if you want to make sure things are top-notch you may want to get some help.
Today I talk about th pros and cons of going solo and point you to some resources to get your podcast rolling.
Here are some resources I recommend, besides my own podcast, if you want to get started podcasting.

Unbelievable what they’ve done to the website. I was absolutely floored when I browsed over to their website today. They’ve also reduced the size of their audio files which makes for faster downloads. It also looks like they are now using the m4a format. The only question that remains: will they continue to provide mp3 files in the feed?

In today’s podcast I give you some ways to waste time on the internet.
Before you can begin wasting time on the internet you’ll need to make sure you have Adobe Flash and Shockwave players installed. Once you’ve done that and installed the latest versions of each player, check out these links:

I’m trying to win a $100 gift certificate from my buddy Lincoln over at Habitation of Justice and because I’m lazy and unoriginal I’m including the following text from his website:
Lincoln is currently offering a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift certificate to qualified bloggers who mention his blog, the Habitation of Justice on their sites. Go check it out!
The problem: you made a backup in Windows XP before upgrading to Vista and now you can’t restore your files. What are you to do? Simple, download the Windows NT Backup – Restore Utility and follow these simple steps to make your transition to Windows Vista easier.
Enable Removable Storage Management in Windows Vista
Install Windows NT Backup – Restore Utility
Restore your files
What!? You expected a video or something showing you how to do this? OK, have a look at this:
If you’re a more advanced user, you could install Windows XP NTBackup in Vista by copying the following files from an XP installation to C:\Program Files\NTBackup\ on your Vista machine:
C:\Windows\System32\Ntbackup.exe
C:\Windows\System32\Ntmsapi.dll
C:\Windows\System32\Vssapi.dll
C:\Windows\Help\Ntbackup.chm
C:\Windows\Help\Ntbackup.hlp
The last two files aren’t necessary, they’re just help files, but you may want them just in case you forget how to backup your files. Create a shortcut to NTBackup somewhere and blammo, you’re in business.
