This is the first of 3 presentations I did at the Geeks & God Web 2.0 Conference last month. I hope you enjoy it.

My rig cost about $75. $50 mixer (second hand), $15 mic (I do need a better one, but it’s a step up), $10 stand/gooseneck. I use Audacity. Based on that how would you say I am doing?
Would that this had video. Next year someone needs a good video camera.
I’m really interested in recording interviews on one machine.

Your rig is a good basic setup. The only advice I have for you right now is to 1.) get a pop filter and 2.) run your final mix-down through Levelator before exporting it to an mp3.
I’ll do a podcast on how to record interviews with 1 machine in an upcoming episode. That’s a great idea.

Yeah. The phone was too close to the laptop when I recorded. Not cool.
A pop filter is next on my list to buy.
