I’m normally not one to try and scare my listeners, but, if you really want to get freaked out, listen to this podcast I recorded with Chris and Clifford from The Jesus Geeks and Scott Roche, the Spiritual Tramp and author of Arch Angel.

We had a political battle-royale and I’m sure I stepped in a mess a few times then stuck my foot in my mouth. Of course, we solved the world’s problems in under 2 hours and managed to upset nearly every Christian on the planet in the process.

I’m posting this in lieu of a podcast this week as I will be doing the Dark Ritual drawing live on Friday night via Talk Shoe. More details to follow. If you haven’t entered the contest yet, it’s getting down to the wire!

This week I cover some news, give you an update on the contest, and provide another part to the Internet Awareness series: Safe Searches.

Searching the Internet safely can be difficult at times. With searches it’s sometimes possible to circumvent filtering software because the results are often cached by sites like Google. This can cause some challenges when you’re trying to prevent the viewing of explicit content. While safe search settings on search engines aren’t 100%, they can help drastically reduce the chances of unwanted content showing up in an image or video search.

One thing that has bothered me for some time now is that frequently in GarageBand after I export a files there is dead air at the end of the file. Well, I finally stumbled upon the reason for this. Watch the video linked below and you’ll see why this happens and how you can correct it.

Some additional notes: I used a different mic configuration, I’d like your opinion on the sound quality. It’s the same mic just setup a little differently. Also, the GSM mosquito struck again. You may hear an occasional buzzing in the podcast. I’d re-record it but I just don’t have the time.
